Los 5 mejores consejos para reforzar las capacidades de respuesta ante incidentes
En t rminos generales, muchas de aquellas tecnolog as y capacidades que contribuyen a un nivel de ciberseguridad s lido y consolidado tambi n mejoran su capacidad para llevar a cabo una respuesta ante incidentes r pida y eficaz.
Es esencial capacitar a los equipos para que sigan planes de respuesta ante incidentes bien elaborados, incluso cuando est n bajo mucha presi n. Tambi n lo es la capacidad de detectar incidentes r pidamente con un monitoreo de seguridad y la b squeda proactiva de amenazas las 24 horas del d a, los 7 d as de la semana.
Adem s, es importante involucrar a la Gerencia General y a la junta directiva en la planificaci n de una respuesta ante incidentes, ya que las consecuencias comerciales de una crisis a gran escala son extensas.
M s all de esto, tenemos cinco consejos espec ficos.
N. 1: Adoptar un enfoque hol stico. Ya lo mencionamos, pero vale la pena que se repita. Un enfoque proactivo con respecto a la respuesta ante incidentes implica una amplia variedad de funciones y capacidades de ciberseguridad, desde la evaluaci n de la preparaci n, el monitoreo continuo de la seguridad hasta la gesti n de vulnerabilidades, la informaci n sobre amenazas, la capacitaci n de los equipos de simulaci n de ataques y la correcci n de los programas. Es esencial evaluar y procurar mejorar las operaciones de seguridad en su totalidad.
N. 2: Evaluar y mejorar de manera continua las capacidades. En un mundo con tecnolog as que evolucionan r pido y amenazas con una evoluci n a n m s veloz, el cambio es la nica constante. La nica forma en que puede esperar que su programa de seguridad se mantenga al d a con estos avances es realizar una autoevaluaci n de manera regular y procurar una mejora continua.
N. 4: Los ataques de Ransomware actuales exigen nuevas estrategias en cuanto a las copias de respaldo. En el pasado, las soluciones en copias de respaldo a menudo se dise aban para que la restauraci n de datos fuera lo m s r pida y conveniente posible. Los operadores de Ransomware ahora intentan aprovechar esa capacidad (de restauraciones f ciles y r pidas) y usarla para codificar o destruir las copias de respaldo. Lo que en la actualidad se necesita son copias de respaldo inalterables que ni siquiera los usuarios con credenciales administrativas puedan eliminar.
N. 5: Comprender que la migraci n a la nube presenta nuevos desaf os. El uso de contenedores, Kubernetes y arquitecturas basadas en microservicios puede incorporar nuevas eficiencias y mayor flexibilidad en sus operaciones. Sin embargo, si su equipo no ha recibido capacitaci n sobre c mo administrar su nuevo entorno en la nube de manera segura, es probable que aumente su exposici n al riesgo. La migraci n a la nube requerir nuevos enfoques para proteger identidades, datos y aplicaciones, as como nuevas estrategias en cuanto a las copias de respaldo y una nueva comprensi n de la gesti n de la configuraci n.

Incluye una amplia variedad de actividades, que van desde la limitaci n de la exposici n al riesgo y la buena gobernanza, hasta la mejora continua de la infraestructura t cnica y los controles de seguridad.
