Berklee Alumni Publications Win CASE Awards The magazine Berklee Today received a gold award and podcast Pass the Mic earned bronze from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) honored Berklees alumni publications as part of its Circle of Excellence Awards, with the magazine Berklee Today securing a gold award and the podcast Pass the Mic winning bronze.
CASE praised the magazine for a design [that] balances art and well-spaced text in a way that invites readers in without overwhelming them, and recognized the podcast as an effort to elevate alumni engagement, services, support, and opportunity by providing a forum for alumni to exchange their views on careers, the music industry, and what it means to be in the Berklee community.
Berklee Today designer Patrick Mitchell of Modus Operandi Design and Pass the Mic hosts Jaquel Eley and Padriac Farma were honored with the award in the respective categories of Design: Periodicals and Magazines and Communications: Podcasts (Frequent).
In bestowing the design award, the judges wrote that Berklee Today's layout is exceptional, with striking imagery that captivates the readers attention. The use of typography is both clear and imaginative, effectively enhancing the overall design elements of the magazine. Last year, Berklee Today won two bronze awards.
The podcast received similar praise from the judges: It is commendable that the alumni team dedicated time to understand what new approaches they could implement to engage actively with their community. There was tangible career advice given and the diversity of voices is engaging.
The CASE awards is a global nonprofit association dedicated to educational advancement to transform lives and society.
