Abiquo Joins NetApp Alliance Partner Program Integrated Solution Enables Cloud Storage Self-Service, Increases Storage Utilization Rates

Redwood City, Calif. - December 6, 2010 - Abiquo, a software provider, today announced its membership in the NetApp Alliance Partner Program to bring an integrated solution to market for the next generation of cloud management.

As an Alliance Partner, Abiquo has integrated, tested, and validated Abiquo with NetApp unified storage systems. As a result, customers can continue to use NetApp Data ONTAP prepackaged storage management solutions, which effectively create and manage storage pools and devices requiring higher I/O bandwidth. In addition, customers can use Abiquo as a self-service portal so that authorized end users in Virtual Enterprises can consume resources up to their approved limits from NetApp storage pools and devices without contacting IT.

The integrated solution provides self-service allocation of storage resources and increasing storage utilization rates by utilizing Abiquos unique business policy engine to centrally automate and manage all globally deployed storage resources whether running on private, public, or hybrid clouds.
