Roland presents his table for direct M-5000C With an intuitive and flexible flow of work, the M-5000C compact offers all the flexibility and power of the M-5000 but occupying less space.
Roland It has announced the global launch of the digital mixer OHRCA M-5000C. This console is expected continuation of the award-winning M-5000 OHRCA presented earlier this year.
With a size below 74 centimeters wide and weighing only 32 kilograms, the compact M-5000C offers all the flexibility and power of the M-5000 but occupying less space, making it the ideal choice for touring, broadcast, theater and performances Live where size is a factor. The M-5000C can be seen in the upcoming IBC in Amsterdam.
Using the same OHRCA (High Resolution Configurable Open Architecture) platform that has made the M-5000 so popular audio engineers, the M-5000C offers a new dimension in terms of configuration options on devices this size and price affordable.
The OHRCA platform offers 128 audio resources by user definable freely, possibility of communication with multiple plus a very flexible user interface protocols, all offered audio quality 24-bit / 96KHz. This open architecture supports protocols such as Dante, MADI and REAC Waves Sound Grid and can embed / de-embed audio on video using SDI, DVI (HDMI) and SFP.
Along with a sampling frequency of 96KHz, for superior audio quality; The M-5000C offers a mix bus 72bits. In addition to 16 inputs and 8 outputs on the console, the M-5000C features two expansion slots that can accommodate REAC, Dante, MADI, Waves Sound Grid as well as other expansion cards XI series.
Intuitive workflow and flexible
The flow of intuitive and flexible working is key in the design of the M-5000C; with a large number of features focused on the user, as a 12-inch touch screen controlled by potentiometers 16 multipurpose below it. The 16 faders (out of 20), divided into two banks of 8 faders each, which can work together or isolated, can behave in four different ways; Horizontal Scroll, Spill DCA, Anchors, and user-definable layers. The remaining 4 faders can be freely assigned to the channels or busses that the user deems necessary. The user also has 4 pots and 8 buttons multiplied by 3 banks, which are also assignable engineer for those functions that need to access urgently.
Naturally, the M-5000C joins the extensive range of Roland; making them a potential of numerous facilities and systems currently operating worldwide. Besides an extensive range of boxes scenario with multiple input and output options; It also supports the personnel system monitors M-48 that offers the player the opportunity to work your monitor mix. Connecting M-5000C to an M-48 through the REAC ports of the console, the engineer can very easily prepare premixes musicians then controlled and can also edit and hear what each musician is listening remotely from the console. Finally, the R-1000 recorder offers 48 channels of recording / playback is a very reliable recording solution for the M-5000C.
The M-5000C is the latest addition to the growing line of products based on the platform OHRCA in which the M-5000 line, which includes 28 faders is also included and has been awarded the prize "Best mixing system for live" in the past awards Pipa / Prolight & Sound International Press Awards.
