Microsoft Equips New Showroom with Ventuz Agency: stereolize

A 360 projection turns the new Microsoft Showroom in Berlin into an immersive multimedia experience.

Microsoft Germany has been relying on Ventuz for their presentation projects for many years. Therefore, it is no wonder that they once again hired the Ventuz agency stereolize when it came to equipping their new branch office in Berlin with a fancy installation.

The highlight of the office is the elliptic, lounge-like showroom. A 360 projection turns the entire room into a presentation surface with the viewer immersed in the 3D content. This is made possible with a machine cluster of four machines, each powering two HD projectors. Naturally, the machines run in a completely synchronized mode. All edge blending and shaping was done with the new Ventuz Shaping Tool.

The presentation content was created in a modular manner to give the Microsoft staff complete freedom when preparing their presentations. Via a PC or a tablet, the speaker can create his/her own rundown consisting of a welcome screen, an introduction animation, and one of many 3D worlds that serve as a backdrop. The actual presentation content can be fed into the Ventuz world via a USB stick and can range from images and movie clips to entire PowerPoint presentations.

Once the speaker has created a rundown, he/she can load and operate the presentation via a custom made app on a Microsoft Surface tablet. Additionally, the speaker can control lighting and sound.
