New distributor: MVDE Europe launches with focus on video...

MVD Europe (MVDE), a European distributor covering broadcast and pro AV markets and led by Edo van der Gaag, has launched with a focus on video production and streaming media products.

Van der Gaag has nearly 30 years of experience in the area and has worked as director of European sales for video streaming specialist Digital Rapids, following 19 years as co-owner of systems integrator and production services provider Trigital B.V.

MVDE will offer business development, marketing, logistics, channel management, product support and post-sale warranty fulfilment service. It also provides product consultation to end-users but refers them to authorised resellers for purchasing.

MVDEs first product lines include Magewells video capture, processing, streaming and playout products; PTZOptics pan/tilt/zoom cameras; and HuddleCamHD USB-connected conference cameras and speakerphones. MVDE will be the exclusive European distributor of Magewell's Pro Convert family of hardware converters.

Van der Gaag said: While a lot of distributors have consolidated into larger organizations in recent years, the sheer breadth of the products they carry can make it hard for them to keep up with the disruptive technology changes our industry is undergoing.
