Tiger Aspect record English series Mount Pleasant for Sky with Panasonic VariCam 35 La exitosa serie de Sky en Reino Unido emplea en su sexta temporada la c mara de Panasonic logrando excelentes resultados en cuanto al color y resoluci n de la imagen.
Series Mount Pleasant, estrenada en agosto de 2011 en Sky 1 en Reino Unido, cosecha desde entonces temporada tras temporada un gran xito de audiencia.
Antes de grabar la sexta temporada, Tiger Aspect Productions y Rental Company 24/7 llevaron a cabo numerosas pruebas para decidir qu c mara ser a la m s adecuada para la producci n de la nueva entrega.
Tiger Aspect quer a una c mara que ofreciera gran calidad e im genes que reflejaran la colorida y vibrante sensaci n de la serie. En las pruebas se tuvieron en cuentas varias LUT, el rango del sensor, la ISO dual y comparaciones en paralelo. Finalmente, la productora se decant por la Varicam 35 de Panasonic.
Mark Devlin, productor de Mount Pleasant, reconoce que grabar con la Varicam 35 ha sido fabuloso y resalta que el c dec que utiliza es tan eficiente que hemos logrado pasar de HD a 2K sin tener que incrementar el almacenamiento necesario .
Para una serie tan luminosa y soleada como Mount Pleasant, Devlin reconoce que la c mara de Panasonic marcaba la diferencia en cuanto al color y resoluci n de la imagen.
Andy Hollis, director de fotograf a de Mount Pleasant, afirma que aunque era la primera vez que trabajaba con una Varicam una vez que supe d nde estaban los botones todo estaba a mano con mucha facilidad . La producci n de la serie va muy ajustada en cuanto a tiempos ya que tenemos que rodar numerosas escenas cada d a. Si la c mara fuera m s lenta o m s dif cil de entender entonces no ser amos capaces de llevar este ritmo. Para nosotros, funciona a la perfecci n . Hollis subraya tambi n la fidelidad y naturalidad de los colores que recoge la c mara en ambientes soleados.
La Varicam cuenta con un sensor de imagen MOS de 35 mm logrando un amplio rango din mico y una amplia gama de color. Ofrece tambi n ajustes duales de ISO de 800 y 5000. El ISO nativo de 5000 permite obtener im genes de alt sima calidad en situaciones de muy poca luz, destaca Hollis.
El director de fotograf a resalta tambi n el valor a adido que supone el uso del visor de la c mara ya que conforme estamos grabando podemos hacernos una idea muy precisa de lo que recogemos sin tener que acudir a un costoso monitor. Incluso bajo la luz directa del sol podemos ver una imagen fiel a trav s del visor integrado .
