Banijay Rights delivers Diana's Death: The Search for the Truth to new territories

Banijay Rights, the international distribution arm of Banijay Group, has signed deals in the US, Europe, CEE and South Africa for Diana's Death: The Search for the Truth, the ratings-winning one-hour special that, twenty years on, unlocks the answers to Princess Diana's fate through a series of shocking revelations.

Produced by Tony Comiti and directed by Manuel Laigre for M6 in France, where its recent broadcast attracted 3.5 million viewers, Diana's Death: The Search for the Truth has now been secured by Reelz in the US and A & E Networks for the UK and South Africa. Sky Italia has acquired the one-hour special whilst Italian public broadcaster TV8 has also secured rights. The film has also been picked up in Spain by ATRES for commercial Free TV broadcaster MEGA and by AMC Networks International Iberia for ODISEA, in Israel by DBS and in CEE by TVN for Poland as well as public broadcaster RTVS - Radio and television of Slovakia.

Diana's Death: The Search for the Truth uncovers the extraordinary untold story of the needless death of a global icon. The film reveals that the Mercedes car that Diana made her final journey in had a previous life nobody knew about. Badly damaged in a road crash, it was declared a write-off more than two years before the Alma Tunnel tragedy. How that car was spared the scrapheap, and came to join the Ritz's limousine service, is revealed. The film features exclusive testimony from contributors and witnesses, including members of the investigation team and emergency services who were first to arrive on the scene of the crash, some of whom have never spoken before, and uses professional stunt teams to reconstruct key events to help understand what really happened.
