TORONTO (November 21, 2013) No longer just for the single ladies, City's nationwide casting search for Season 2 of original series The Bachelor Canada is now also open to all of the men who want to put a ring on it. The search for 25 bachelorettes and one lucky bachelor officially begins on Monday, Dec. 2, when romantic hopefuls can visit The Bachelor Canada Facebook page at Facebook.com/TheBachelorCanada to submit their online applications. In addition to the online application process, a cross-Canada casting tour will kick off in January 2014. Full details about the national casting tour, including dates and locations, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Following last season's successful fairytale ending for Brad and Bianka, The Bachelor Canada has already proven itself to be a series with true heart, said Nataline Rodrigues, Director of Original Programming, Rogers Media. This season, we look forward to meeting even more of Canada's most vibrant men and women who are seeking the opportunity to find the love of a lifetime.
City's nationwide search is open to all eligible Canadian men and women over the age of majority who are looking for true love and are willing to put everything on the line to find it. Upon liking The Bachelor Canada Facebook page, applicants will be directed to either the bachelor or bachelorette registration form in order to submit their online applications along with a video showcasing their personality.
Principal filming for Season 2 of The Bachelor Canada will begin in spring 2014 ahead of the fall premiere.
The Bachelor Canada is based on the perennially successful The Bachelor franchise, which is entering its 18th season on City and OMNI Television in January. The homegrown series is among a dynamic roster of original programs commissioned by Rogers Media including Seed, Package Deal, Mother Up!, Meet The Family, Storage Wars Canada, Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan, The Liquidator, The Project: Guatemala, Mohawk Girls, and Bollywood Star.
The Bachelor Canada is produced by Good Human Productions Inc. in association with Rogers Media. From Good Human Productions, Claire Freeland (The Bachelor Canada) and Sean De Vries (The Bachelor Canada) serve as executive producers. From Rogers Media,
Nataline Rodrigues is Director of Original Programming, Hayden Mindell is Vice President of Programming and Content, and Scott Moore is President, Broadcast.
