Metadata management arrives to Africast 06 anks to VSN

VSN broadcasts for all attendees to Africast 2016 in Abuja (Nigeria) a Masterclass about Metadata management, comprising its origins, evolution and how to improve and optimise it in today's Broadcast and Media industry. The live event was hosted by VSN's Product Manager, Toni Vilalta. VSN's Product Manager, Toni Vilalta, was the host of this advanced Masterclass about Metadata Management at Africast 2016.

Africast 2016, one of the main trade shows in Africa for the Broadcast and Entertainment industries that usually congregates more than 1.500 exhibitors, has broadcasted for the first time one of VSN's online Masterclasses about advanced Metadata management for all attendees.

From the company's Headquarters in Barcelona, VSN's Product Manager, Toni Vilalta, hosted this online session called Would you pass the Metadata test?', in which he offered a very complete overview about this topic: from its origins and evolution, to its types, standards, structures and some advanced key points and best practices that every Broadcaster or media professional should follow, in order to optimise its management and cataloguing.

Moreover, during the broadcasting Vilalta also offered a live product demonstration to showcase how VSN's solutions allow users to efficiently manage Metadata, thanks to some latest advances recently included in them like the speech-to-text functionality or the integration between VSNEXPLORER Media Asset Management and Online Thesaurus to make the most of Linked Data technology.

The conference was followed by the trade show's attendees that had the opportunity to watch it live at the same exhibition centre. This is an unprecedented action in the history of VSN that we hope it can take place more often', states its host, Toni Vilalta. We are very satisfied with the acceptance of this Masterclass, in general, and much more with the idea of broadcasting it live at an international trade show like Africast.
