Conference Programme Participation and Live Cloud Balancing Demonstrations Highlight how Enterprises can Make the Most of the Cloud Era

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. June 05, 2013 Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading cloud platform for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, anywhere, is showcasing its cloud delivery and optimization expertise at Cloud Expo NY 2013 which will be held at New Yorks Javits Centre, June 10-13, 2013. Through a combination of keynote, general and technical sessions, as well as booth demonstrations (Booth 418) of the companys Terra Alta solutions, Akamai will show attendees how they can maximise the results of their cloud computing strategies.

Terra Alta is a cloud-based application delivery platform designed to improve enterprise agility and collaboration by offering the power to instantly configure and deliver all web-based applications, to any users, anywhere in the world. The solution also can help overcome the inherent challenges related to performance, availability, expansion and security, which cannot be accomplished by deploying specialised hardware within the data centre. Terra Alta Cloud Balancing Demonstrations

Throughout Cloud Expo NY 2013, Akamai will host live demonstrations showcasing Terra Altas cloud balancing capability, which is useful in situations where outages, network conditions or other circumstances may negatively impact application delivery. The solution can recognise that application delivery is suffering and, in near-real-time, direct requests to those data centers not impacted. Attendees can see this capability firsthand as demonstrations will show how Terra Alta can help overcome the complexity of maintaining application availability when hosting assets within multiple cloud environments - including enterprise data centers - by prioritising from which cloud provider and/or data centre applications should be delivered and helping to ensure all relevant performance optimizations are instantly made available regardless of hosting location.
