Our coverage is going to be BIG to match one of the biggest matchups in the history of college basketball!
- WRAL-TV's Leesa Moore
Capitol Broadcasting has a crew of ten headed to New Orleans for the Final Four, the ultimate Battle of the Blues in the Bayou! WRAL-TV's Debra Morgan, Jamie Munden, Kacy Hintz, Brad Simmons, Pat Welter, Tony Gupton and CBC Sports Radio's Lauren Brownlow, Joe Ovies, Joe Giglio, and Dennis Cox are the team on the road. WRAL-TV, CBC Sports Radio and WRAL Sports+ will have live coverage here in the Triangle and in New Orleans all week as we gear up for the historic game.
WRAL-TV will air 3 half-hour specials: on Friday in a special edition of the 7pm news, Saturday at 7pm and on Monday in a special edition of the 7pm news. Plus, we'll have live post-game coverage Saturday on WRAL.
We'll also be live in Chapel Hill and Durham, especially Saturday when the two schools will hold watch parties in Cameron Indoor Stadium and the Dean E. Smith Center, said WRAL-TV Director of News Operations/Sport/Special Projects Leesa Moore. We fully expect large crowds will gather either on Franklin Street or on Duke's quad and SKY5 will capture the celebration from the air.
CBC Sports Radio will also broadcast live from NOLA. The OG with Ovies and Giglio will be live on Thursday and Friday from 3-6pm and on Saturday from noon to 3:30pm.
WRAL Sports+ is currently working on producing two specials as well.
Moore told Capcom, Our coverage is going to be BIG to match one of the biggest matchups in the history of college basketball!
