Grass Valley Demonstrates its Powerful EDIUS Pro 7 at Japans CP 2014 Show
Hillsboro, Ore., February 10, 2014 Grass Valley is demonstrating EDIUS Pro 7, the latest version of its powerful multiformat nonlinear editing software, at this years CP 2014 (Camera & Photo Imaging) Show, being held February 13-16 at the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center in Yokohama, Japan. Grass Valley will be exhibiting on a pod in the Video Area for Professionals. EDIUS Pro 7 is a widely-used, industry-leading solution for editors working on fast turn production in broadcast news, news magazine content, studio program content, as well as for professional video editors working on organizational, documentary, and 4K theatrical productions.
Grass Valleys EDIUS Pro 7 is the fastest and most versatile real-time editing software on the market, and CP 2014 is the perfect venue to demonstrate its full range of capabilities to consumers and professional editors alike in Japan and other parts of Asia, said Stephen Wong, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, Grass Valley. We designed version 7 with even greater flexibility, which means that all users can take advantage of its enhanced feature set that includes an improved 4K workflow.
In addition to support for a wide range of Grass Valley hardware, EDIUS Pro 7 is open to third-party input and output hardware from Blackmagic Design and Matrox, with support for AJA Video Systems hardware. This opens new doors for EDIUS users by giving them the flexibility to integrate into a wide variety of environments with one editing interface with more resolutions, unlimited tracks, and real-time editing for the ability to edit anything, anywhere. EDIUS 7 also supports EDL project import/export with DaVinci Resolve, as well as a new color grading workflow.

Updated MPEG and H.264/AVC performance
Faster handling of large quantities of still image files (JPG, TGA, DPX, and others)
A Gaussian blur filter to apply better quality blurring and to prevent Moir pattern aliasing artifacts.
EDIUS Pro 7 will also be showcased at Panasonics booth, G-04.
CP 2014 is one of Japans key networking venues in the areas of camera technology and photo imaging. It features a robust lineup with hundreds of exhibitors, as well as lectures, discussions, and marketing seminars.
