Tolka Launches TV AnyWhere Solution, Extending the Reach of Digital TV Channels to Smart Devices in Any Location

Tolka, a globally active leader in the development and provision of media-related telecommunication systems, announces a major advance in digital television broadcasting with the introduction of TV AnyWhere. A complete and easy to manage solution, TV AnyWhere allows broadcasters to provide full support for revenue-generating personalized advertising without needing a return feed. TCAS (Tolka Conditional Access System) is integrated to ensure secure delivery.

TV AnyWhere works in conjunction with three hardware elements from ADTH plus a software app:

Tolkas DTV USB Dongle for Android is a compact device which can be plugged into an Android smartphone, tablet or smart TV. DTV signals can be received via a simple antenna attachment. Users gain a personalized viewing experience without eating into their service data allowance.

Tolkas WiFi Transmitter for Android and Apple iOS receives DTV broadcasts and automatically converts them into wifi signals for sharing with nearby Android and iOS devices.

The Tolka Home Gateway is a combined TV receiver and hub designed for direct connection to the household internet router. The hub can be used by several people at the same time, enabling all smartphones, tablets and smart TVs in the home to receive terrestrial, cable, and satellite sources via wifi.

Tolkas AIRial app is compatible with Android and Apple mobile devices. It can also be used with Android TV, Apple TV, LG WebOS, Samsung Tizen and many third-party smart TVs.

TV Anywhere supports a wide range of features configured to make the user experience easy and enjoyable. Auto/manual channel scan establishes which DTV channels are available at the viewers current location. These are then displayed as a channel list. An integral electronic program guide displays current and upcoming broadcasts, complete with transmission times. Aspect ratio can be adjusted to match the viewers display screen or preferred alternative. A signal and channel quality check feature is also provided. An automatic check for updated software is performed each time the system is connected to the internet.
