Fifty operators control two-thirds of subscriptions to pay-TV around the world China Radio & TV is the largest operator of pay television in the world with 239 million subscribers. The television of payment in all the world is in hands of a hundred of operators. According to a report from Digital TV Research, them one hundred major operators would have with them three fourth parts of them subscriptions to television of payment in all the world. Fifty operators control two thirds and the ten first agglutinate the 42% of subscribers.

Simon Murray, principal analyst of Digital TV Research, has assured that "by the end of 2015, a dozen operators had more than 10 million paying subscribers, and this will rise to eighteen operators in 2021. However, the number of operators with more than 5 million subscribers will stay in twenty-nine".

The main four hundred operators with 585 platforms in a hundred countries expected in 2015 with a total of 778 million subscribers, being expected this figure to rise to 912 million in 2021. The study anticipated that 23% of analyzed four hundred operators will lose subscribers between now and 2021.

China Radio & TV is the largest operator of pay television in the world far ahead of the other operators. The policy of the Chinese Government to consolidate the television cable has helped China Radio & Tv quickly become the main operator in the world with 239 million subscribers at the end of the year 2015. Their forecasts point to 251 million subscribers in 2021.
