The satellite operator billing SES alcanz en 2013 una facturaci n de 1.862,5 millones de euros, lo que supone un incremento a tipo de cambio constante del 3,4% sobre 2012 y del 5,9% en t rminos comparables, una vez excluidos los 42,6 millones de euros de facturaci n correspondientes a las retrasmisiones DTH anal gicas en Alemania durante los primeros cuatro meses de 2012.
El EBITDA en 2013 alcanza los 1.364,7 millones de euros, cifra que representa un incremento del 2,8% a tipo de cambio constante y de un 6,2% excluido el negocio anal gico antes mencionado.
El beneficio operativo creci un 7,7%, hasta los 851,2 millones de euros frente a los 790,5 de 2012.
El beneficio del grupo se situ en 566,5 millones de euros, un 12,7% menos que los 648,8 millones de 2012. Descontados los 107,9 millones de euros de impuestos extraordinarios de 2012, el beneficio del grupo habr a crecido un 4,7%. El beneficio por acci n fue de 1,41 euros frente a los 1,62 de 2012. El ratio de deuda neta EBITDA se sit a en 2,79 al cierre de 2013, frente a 2,96 de 2012.
La cartera de contratos se mantuvo en los 7.500 millones de euros.
En vista a estos resultado, SES ha propuesto el reparto de un dividendo de 1,07 euros por acci n frente a los 0,97 de 2012.
Commitment to innovation
En 2013, SES puso en marcha el protocolo IP-LNB, que permite recibir transmisiones por sat lite y las convierte en formato IP, lo que ofrece un campo de nuevas posibilidades en un hogar en el que es creciente la presencia de m ltiples dispositivos.
SES tambi n ha liderado el apoyo para el desarrollo de la propulsi n el ctrica de los sat lites, un cambio tecnol gico que reducir los costes e incrementar la vida til de los mismos.
El pasado diciembre, el SES-8 se convirti en el primer sat lite comercial puesto en rbita por Space-X.
Destacar por otro lado, que SES participa en la iniciativa O3b (Other Three Billion) encaminada a llevar banda ancha v a sat lite a esos otros 3 mil millones de personas que no tienen un acceso f cil a la Sociedad de la Informaci n y en la que SES es el principal inversor (47%) y el socio tecnol gico. En junio de 2013 O3b lanz sus cuatro primeros sat lites y lanzar cuatro m s en el segundo trimestre de 2014. Se est negociando el lanzamiento de cuatro sat lites adicionales hasta alcanzar una constelaci n de 12.
The fleet grows
En 2013, el operador satelital lanz el SES 6 y 8 y el Astra 2E, incrementando la capacidad de la flota en un 3,6%. La capacidad utilizada de la flota ha crecido un 3%.
Este mes, SES lanzar el Astra 5B y en el segundo trimestre de a o, el Astra 2G. Para 2015, la compa a tiene previsto poner en el espacio el SES 9 y ya en el segundo semestre del 2016, el nuevo SES 10.
