Berklee Summer in the City Returns with Free, in-Person Concerts The series will feature performances at some of the Boston area's most iconic landmarks.

This summer, Berklee students and alumni will return to performing free, in-person concerts at notable locations in and around Boston as part of Berklees Summer in the City concert series. Last years series, which took place virtually due to the pandemic, featured students and recent alumni putting their own spin on popular tracks over prerecorded video from around the world.
This month, artists will perform in-person concerts across the Boston area, including the Osborn Triangle complex at MIT and Cambridge Discovery Park. Starting in July and August, performance locations will include City Hall Plaza, Club Passim, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Spectacle Island, and Symphony Park in the Fenway, among others. The series will present a variety of musical genres, including jazz, R&B, world, pop, Latin, and folk, as part of its 2021 programming.
I am thrilled to see the return of in-person concerts from Berklee with the Summer in the City concert series, said Berklee President Roger H. Brown. After moving the concerts online last year due to the pandemic, I look forward to watching our students perform in some of Boston's most beloved spaces. Summer in the City has always been one of Berklee's best contributions to our local community, with free shows by some of the most talented young artists in the world. Perhaps someday you'll be able to say, I saw that artist when they were still just a student at Berklee.'
Summer in the City is presented in partnership with Mayor Kim Janey and the City of Boston, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston Harbor Now, Club Passim, Samuels & Associates, and the Bulfinch Companies, Inc.
