The horror series American Horror Story is set to return with a twelfth season that is bound to continue to captivate audiences with its thriller storylines and great visuals

Who created American Horror Story? The series is the creation of Ryan Murphy who is known for shows such as Glee, Scream Queens and Pose which gave viewers a glimpse into the impact of the Aids pandemic on the LGBTQIA community in particular the trans community.

The new details of the new season which is titled, American Horror Story: Delicate has just been released. The new season which was first confirmed in January 2020 as the new addition to the American Horror Story franchise.

What is the new season of AHS based on? The upcoming season is set to be based on the soon to- be- released novel Delicate Condition written by Danielle Valentine which is set for an August release. The plot of the novel is as follows;

Described as a gripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens,

The new season is set to follow similar themes as the novel which can be seen as having similarities to cult horror film, Rosemary's Baby.

This is the first time that the season is set to be based on a novel as according to People the series always explores certain themes. The other exception was the eighth season which was based on a combination of previous seasons and characters.

The season will star noted AHS alumni Emma Roberts as well as some surprising cast members including The Resident actor Matt Czuchry and reality tv star Kim Kardashian. The release date is set to be announced in June
