HOW NAGRA CONNECTED PEOPLE TO the CONTENT EY LOVE AT IBC 06

Between featuring a wide range of solutions and use cases designed to promote better pay-TV experiences, scooping up an award for best content protection and revealing the global learnings from the Pay-TV Innovation Forum, NAGRA delivered a memorable IBC 2016!

NAGRA displayed its newly launched TVkey USB device. It's a direct-to-TV security solution for pay-TV operators that meets all key MovieLabs requirements for Enhanced Content Protection and allows consumers to sign up for pay-TV services directly on selected Samsung TVs.

Also on the security front, NAGRA showcased the latest anti-piracy services, from dealing with content sharing to key sharing forms of piracy. The company also provided a progress report on its battle against major pirate organizations worldwide. Most notably, a presentation outlined the details of the $101 million default judgment victory against the China-based Zhuhai Gotech Intelligent Technology, Ltd.

NAGRA also displayed immersive user interface concepts that can help pay-TV operators amplify and simplify the consumer TV proposition to make it a less stressful and more enjoyable experience, powered by the MediaLive Suite and OpenTV 5. The showcase included the latest intuiTV TV-as-a-Service (TVaaS) solution, showing how pay-TV operators can harness live TV, VOD and OTT services with an all-in-one pay-TV service that simplifies the consumer experience. NAGRA also participated in the IBC Conference session Next-Gen TV UX: The future of the TV experience where along with fellow panelists, we addressed changing viewer behaviors and painted a picture of the TV viewing experiences of tomorrow.

Another significant highlight was the revealing of the Pay-TV Innovation Forum's global findings, which provide an overview of the pay-TV innovation landscape with views from industry executives around the world and completes the regional white papers series; this unique program was launched with MTM London and explores the next phases of innovation and growth for pay-TV operators, and sets out the views of industry executives around the world - in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and North America.

Last but not least, NAGRA won Best Content Protection Technology at the CSI awards, two years in a row. This year, anyCAST PROTECT, NAGRA's hardware-based cardless CAS access solution, received the accolade.
