DigitalGlue has announced an addition to its ground-breaking creative.space platform. //DEUS EX - a hybrid NVMe SSD and HDD media storage solution - balances solid state and spinning disk technology with a fully optimized internal architecture to provide seamless playback in the most demanding environments. The hybrid system is the latest to launch in the creative.space series, an On-Premise Managed Storage(tm) (OPMS) service that includes 24/7 monitoring, technical support and next-day repairs for an affordable, all-inclusive monthly rate.
Designed for end-to-end post-production workflows, //DEUS EX is built for uncompressed high-resolution workflows and is capable of tackling even the most demanding real-world formats like 4K DCI OpenEXR. It eliminates the need for separate online and nearline systems with dynamic caching powered by Media Intelligence, allowing the entire team to work on the same system simultaneously. Featuring dual Intel Gold Processors, plenty of RAM, 4 NVMe SSDs, and up to 20 Helium-filled HDDs (24 without SSDs), //DEUS EX enables artists to implement dynamic collaborative workflows like those available in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Cloud to allow artists to get more done in less time.
//DEUS EX joins previously launched systems in the creative.space line-up including //AUTEUR, designed for small teams working with compressed 4K+ workflows starting with 120TB RAW capacity across 12 drives in a 24-bay 4 RU chassis; and //BREATHLESS, developed for scalable high-bandwidth DI, VFX, and OTT workflows with a 36-bay all-flash NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) packed into a 1U form factor.
