Netflix Drops Teaser and First Look Images for The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek'

DOWNLOAD FIRST LOOK IMAGES Today, Netflix unveiled the teaser and first look images for The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek. The highly anticipated sequel series will launch globally on Netflix on May 7, 2026.

The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek reunites Mark Hess (Mikkel Boe F lsgaard) and Naia Thulin (Danica Curcic) as the two detectives try to piece together twisted killings connected to a childrens rhyme.

The standalone six part series is produced by SAM Productions and set to premiere globally on Netflix on May 7, 2026.

This time in the form of an innocent game of hide-and-seek that the perpetrator twists into an involuntary, brutal stalking of innocent victims. Loosely based on S ren Sveistrup's popular novel, and together with a whole team of talented people, we tell a story about families falling apart, about loss, grief, and, not least, powerlessness - set in a world where, with our phone in hand, we are constantly being watched and can never truly hide.

Milad Alami, Conceptual Director: The best examples of Nordic Noir is when there is an unpredictability to the plot and believable characters that, apart from trying to find the killer, have something personal at stake. This is something we have worked with in every department, from scripts to visuals and production design.

ABOUT THE CHESTNUT MAN: HIDE AND SEEK Synopsis: A 41-year-old woman is reported missing, and when the police unravel her digital footprints, it becomes evident that she has been stalked for months. An unidentified perpetrator has been playing an involuntary game of hide and seek, surveilling her while sending her not only images and videos but also a seemingly innocent nursery rhyme-style counting song. When the woman is later found murdered, it becomes evident that this case can be linked to a similar, unsolved murder case of a 17-year-old high school student who was found murdered two years ago. But what is the connection between the two victims? And when will the perpetrator begin to play hide and seek again?

Mark Hess and Naia Thulin yet again lead the investigation, but the relationship between the two detectives is complicated.
