Techtel Successfully Delivers Professional IPTV Head-End Solution for Accor Stadium in Partnership with Venues NSW

Sydney, Australia - 13 January, 2025 - Techtel, a leading broadcast technology systems specialist, has successfully completed the delivery of a professional-grade IPTV Head-End solution for Accor Stadium in partnership with Venues NSW. This milestone project, delivered in mid-October, was completed in under two months, well within the timeline set by the client.

The Accor Stadium project was a new development, built from scratch with no prior IP system in place. Venues NSW, which manages the system's operation at Accor Stadium, provided the infrastructure, including the networking, while Techtel served as the lead IPTV Head-End system integrator for this project. Techtel implemented a cutting-edge system tailored to the unique requirements of the world-class entertainment venue.

Techtel managed the entire process, from consultancy, system design and configuration to installation, integration, and support. The solution was optimised to meet the unique needs of Accor Stadium, offering high-level redundancy for uninterrupted operations, low-latency feed delivery to on-site screens, and support to accept and process various source formats. Comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) ensured a successful deployment with seamless functionality.

The solution included fully redundant Head-End based on Appear technology and redundant low latency Harmonic CP9000 encoders to handle main and backup local SDI feeds. Each encoder was fully licensed to process up to eight HD or two UHD feeds. The 1 1 Appear IPTV Head-End supports IP in/out, DVB-T/S/S2 interfaces. The high density DVB-CA modules on the platform ensure secure and flexible content acquisition from the major Pay TV provider in Australia to add to the service lineup. Additional components included HDMI encoders by Kiloview to accommodate supplementary feeds.

The entire Head-End system and the local delivery network are fully monitored by Nomad Pro probe, a state-of-the-art multi-format analyser by Bridge Technologies. This portable probe provides deep transport stream, UDP and RF measurements at critical ingress and egress points, ensuring operators have in-depth visibility into signal health at key points for maintaining high quality service.
