Sky Kids boosts back to school learning with the launch of two new original commissions

Hit YouTubers The Slow Mo Guys recreate some of history's most explosive moments in their first ever TV series

MC Grammar's Wonder Raps returns for a second series of catchy educational rap songs

As kids get ready to leap back into learning after the summer holidays, Sky Kids has announced a new original show, The Slow Mo Guys' Big Adventures (1 September, age 8 ) to get kids inspired by science and history.

Presented by YouTube stars with over a whopping 14.3million subscribers, the (10x22) series sees The Slow Mo Guys (Gav and Dan) set out to uncover mysteries from the past and recreate some of history's most explosive moments. With each episode taking on a daringly different theme, kids will experience bold adventures with Vikings, space rockets, the Wild West, and a whole lot more.

The show will take viewers on a time travel adventure, with historical animations written by the creator of Horrible Histories, Terry Deary, setting the scene for exhilarating experiments filmed in slow motion. Kids will also have the chance to access tutorials to join in the fun and try out their very own experiments at home, all whilst finding out fun facts along the way. The series is directed by David Soutar, and executive produced by Fulwell 73's Gabe Turner and Sheldon Lazarus.

Also kick-starting learning ahead of kids going back to school is MC Grammar's Wonder Raps (26 August, age 8 ) which returns for a (10x5) second series of brand new seriously catchy rap videos.

Following the huge success of the first series and MC Grammar's World Book Day song which drove over 1.3million views, the new show combines key stage 2 subjects with cool tunes and sets out to teach children about topics including The Tudors, oceans, and healthy eating. The award-winning teacher Jacob Mitchell (MC Grammar) is sure to get the entire family watching, singing and dancing in this Sky Kids original. MC Grammar's Wonder Raps is produced by Monkey.
