
The TVNZ app will not only be the first app in New Zealand to be published to the Xbox One using the Universal Windows Platform, it will also be the first New Zealand app to span all three mainstream Windows 10 platforms.
IBC 2016, Amsterdam, 8th September 2016 Accedo (http://www.accedo.tv/), the video experience pioneer, today announced it has launched a Windows 10 application with Television New Zealand on Xbox One.
TVNZ On Demand (www.tvnz.co.nz/ondemand) offers viewers across New Zealand access to a range of video on demand (VOD) and catch-up content, including comedy, drama, sports, films, and children's programming, as well as international and local content. The service also delivers a live stream of the DUKE broadcast channel. The service is supported by Ad-based VOD, therefore free to viewers with a value-add for advertisers in the region.
Designed and developed by Accedo, it features a unique look and feel and users are able to view content based on genre, broadcast air date or alphabetically. It also enables users to store their favourite shows and episodes to make finding them again that much easier. This latest launch gives viewers access via Xbox One utilising a Universal app available on Windows 10 Tablet and Mobile devices, with the On Demand app.
The OD application is already available on PlayStation 3 and 4, iOS, Android, Web, Samsung Connected TVs, and HbbTV set-top-boxes via Freeview Plus.
