At IBC 2016, Cisco is introducing Cisco Security for Video, a comprehensive approach to security for IP and cloud-based video production and delivery. It is built on the company's years of expertise and market leading position in both video content security and data center security. Highlights include:
VideoGuard Everywhere: Provides conditional access and multi-DRM based protection with advanced security and business rule enforcement capabilities. It can be deployed and managed flexibly from the cloud, and simplifies integration with open APIs.
Streaming Piracy Prevention: A new, unique solution that uses automated tools and methods to identify, verify and eliminate online streaming piracy in real time.
Infrastructure Security: Multi-layered security solutions that combine best of breed technology to deliver an architectural approach.
The solutions work together to protect video content, broadcast infrastructure, and critical business systems from advanced cyber threats before, during and after an attack, reducing time to detect and increasing the effectiveness of the overall security posture.
These solutions are being implemented by global service provider, media and entertainment customers, including: Eastlink, Canada's largest family owned and operated telecommunications company; LeCloud, the cloud computing and data processing subsidiary of LeEco, one of the largest online video companies in China; Sky, Europe's leading entertainment company with more than 21 million customers; Sony Pictures Networks India, which handles the diversified interests of Sony Pictures in India; and others.
