American Tobacco Expands Diner Mural for New Outdoor Meeting Space

Artist Michael Brown recently finished painting the new diner mural in American Tobacco's new outdoor conference space.

Artist Michael Brown recently finished up a diner mural in American Tobacco's new outdoor conference space. The outside conference room is located at the end of the Reed Building, directly outside the Mission Post front door.

ATC PR/Events Manager Valerie Ward shared how the mural came about.

Michael Brown is a well-known local commercial artist, she explained. We hire him for his expertise in vintage and historic murals. Once The Stack and outside conference room areas were completed, we felt the current diner mural needed to be extended to the other side of the steps to create a more cohesive space and experience.

You'll see a lot of Brown's work around American Tobacco, including the original diner mural, the American Underground directional signs in the Crowe and Strickland Lobby areas, the shaving mural outside the American Tobacco Barber Shop and the tenant directory on the front of the Power Plant.
