Beltelecom connected 500-thousandth GPON subscriber 01.10.2015
On October 1, 2015 the connection of 500-thousandth subscriber under GPON technology in Belarus was celebrated.
500-thousandth subscriber - Natalia Koryakina, citizen of Gomel city, specialist of the preschool development center Zolak .
Natalia will use the services of Beltelecom together with her husband Igor, specialist JSC Gomelcable, and her son Kirill, student of Gomel State Machine Construction College. Natalia clarified, that Internet access is mostly used by her husband and son, as they both are interested in technique and computers.
Director of Gomel Branch of RUE Beltelecom Aleksandr Radchikov presented Natalia Beltelecom 500-thousandth subscriber certificate free connection within 1 year of high speed internet access to the tariff plan Record 100 , interactive television ZALA to the tariff plan ZALA: vse vclucheno HD with the thematic package NTV+Kino , SMART ZALA to the tariff plan Kanapa TV with the thematic NTV+Kino .
At home we use many mobile devices a PC, two notebooks, a tablet, smart phones, and therefore we need high speed Internet access.Before signing to Beltelecom, we considered offers of other providers. Having considered the speeds offered, we made the decision to connect to byfly the tariff Record , and additionally we signed for two interactive television ZALA, and, as you may see, it was the right decision, my wife became a jubilee subscriber. And now we will have enough Internet and television explained Igor.
New possibilities from Beltelecom based on GPON technology today is a perfect solution enabling each user to use telecommunication services with a maximum comfort.
RUE Beltelecom makes significant investments in construction of fiber optic communication lines, modernization and development of fixed broadband Internet access. The coverage area of GPON technology grows dramatically more and more cities and district centers are covered. As of today GPON networks are constructed in more than in 100 cities of the republic. GPON (passive optical networks) most rapidly growing advanced technology of broadband multiservice access under optical fiber. To meet increasing demand in data transfer rates, provision of new services Beltelecom replaces copper cable to individual fiber optic, which is laid into subscriber's flat andended with special subscriber terminal equipment. Several telephone sets, PCs, set top boxes of interactive television ZALA and other devices can be connected to this terminal equipment. Beltelecom performs construction of networks under new technologiesat own cost and expense. Subscriber equipment for connection of services is provided to the subscribers into the use free of charge for the term of the contract. Regardless of the connection method, the tariffs for provision of services are equal for all subscribers. Additionally for GPON technology the special application for Internet access was developed the tariff line byfly Record with the speed from 5 to 100 Mbps. On XXII International Specialized Exhibition and Congress TIBO-2015 Beltelecom presented to the visitors the demo-zone of high speed Internet 10 GPON with connection to one ONT set top box of several devices at the speed of 1 Gbps each TV sets with HD content, PCs. Gbps Internet will be available for legal entities throughout the territory of Belarus this year.
