IABM at IBC2018: supporting members, promoting collaboration, rewarding innovation and unveiling the future 26/07/2018
International broadcast and media technology vendors trade association out in force at the world's most influential media, entertainment and technology show Gloucestershire, UK -25 July 2018 - IABM, the international trade association for broadcast and media technology suppliers, will be out in force at IBC2018 to support its 500+ member companies. Member services at the show include lounges, meeting rooms and IABM TV. In addition, IABM is continuing its mission to drive collaboration between all sides of the industry through the State of the Industry breakfast session, rewarding technology innovation with its BaM Awards party, and helping to lift the lid on what's coming next - and afterwards - in the IABM Future Trends Theatre. State of the Industry breakfast session IABM is setting the tone for IBC2018 at its show-opening State of the Industry breakfast session Friday 14th September at 8am in the Forum. Delegates will learn from IABM's latest research how ongoing transformation continues to disrupt our industry and IABM CEO, Peter White, will share his analysis of how companies can continue to survive and thrive in this febrile environment. An interactive panel follows, entitled Are you ready for the Content Supply Chain? . On the panel are three media companies and three technology suppliers who will debate how the content supply chain is changing the way we do business. How can all sides of the industry best collaborate to ensure success for everyone? How do businesses need to change the way they work to enable the industry to continue to move forward in future? The IABM State of the Industry breakfast session is always well-attended; secure your free place at this thought-leading event here. IABM Future Trends Theatre in the IBC 2018 Future Zone As part of its commitment to helping the industry navigate change, IABM is curating the Future Trends Theatre in the IBC Future Zone. Open to all visitors to the show, the IABM Future Trends Theatre will host a packed programme of presentations that explore up-and-coming technology and business trends and how they will segue from today's environment. The Future Trends Theatre is designed to give attendees an understanding of how new technologies can enable business plans now, rather than being dismissed as way-out ideas and possible hype waiting to find practical use cases. The Future Trends Theatre also looks beyond the horizon at new technologies that are not yet even on the broadcast and media radar. The full programme will be released 1 month before the show. BaM Awards party Saturday 16th September, 6pm: The industry's only truly independent technology awards, IABM's BaM Awards recognize outstanding innovation in each of 10 categories that accurately model the structure of the industry today. Open to IABM members and the trade press, the BaM Awards party is the culmination of weeks of judging by IABM's panel of 40 independent experts, with the eventual winners being celebrated with much sought-after BaM Awards at this event. As well as giving attendees a first-hand view of the top innovators, the BaM Awards party is also a prime networking opportunity. Book your free place here. Entry to the BaM Awards closes on 17th August and is open to both IABM member companies and non-members too; if you haven't already submitted your new product/service, you can do so here. IABM member lounges and meeting rooms IABM has two member lounges at IBC2018 - in the Hall 8 foyer (8-F54) and on Level 2 in the Amtrium (Hall 4) - the latter with bookable meeting rooms. With ample seating and Wi-Fi available, the lounges are a great location to conduct meetings away from your booth or to catch up on business in a quiet, stress-free environment. IABM TV IABM TV will not only be relaying members' news from the show floor, but also covering panels and presentations to continue growing the Knowledge Vault on the IABM website into the industry's most comprehensive and up-to-the-minute reference resource.
IABM CEO Peter White IABM's mission is to help our member companies successfully navigate change by supporting them in all their business activities, providing leadership and giving members unique opportunities for engagement with the wider industry, said Peter White, IABM CEO. IBC Show is the perfect stage not only to take the pulse of the industry, but also to grasp the opportunities this influential show presents to successfully forge ahead. Our IBC program is designed to help our members get the very most out of IBC, including strategic opportunities in our thought leadership events, business-supporting facilities, excellent publicity breaks - and, of course, superb networking events.
