SPT networks announce winner of the Picture This! Festival --

Sony Pictures Television Networks announced the grand prize winner of the Picture This! Festival for the Environment, a shorts competition that aims to highlight stories of hope and success in maintaining and preserving the environment. The announcement was made at the culmination of an all-day event held on the Sony Pictures Studios Lot. LATIDOS, a film by Luc a Mart nez from Iberia, was named the winner from a group of finalists from seven different countries.
LATIDOS is a short film that focuses on small, everyday choices that people can make to lead to a more environmentally sustainable world. Each tip is called a Latidos or a heartbeat. Martinez applied her exceptional design skills to create the animated short.
When we created this festival we hoped to find someone who could bring their story of a sustainable world to life, said president of worldwide networks for SPT, Andy Kaplan. We felt that LATIDOS really embodied the hopeful and proactive message of the Picture This! campaign. We believe it will motivate others to make simple, everyday choices to improve our environment. This festival was a very exciting next step in the Picture This! effort to help people around the globe picture a better world.
The event included a screening of the seven shorts which were then judged by a panel composed of Andy Kaplan, Kim Rozenfeld, EVP of current programming for SPT, Nancy Tate, EVP of worldwide creative content publicity, Simon Mainwaring, branding consultant and Maurizio Vitale, SVP of networks marketing.
Finalists in each territory were chosen by a regional board of experts and dignitaries from their respective countries. Each was selected for the power of their storytelling and their embodiment of the Picture This! campaign.
The grand-prize winner was awarded $5 000 and a Sony 4K package that includes a 55 4K TV and a Sony Alpha a6300 mirrorless camera.
