U-NEXT Japan to use Interras Baton QC solution for VOD CUPERTINO, California - March 17, 2015
Interra Systems, Inc., based in Cupertino, CA, today announced that U-NEXT, one of Japan's largest providers of video, movie and animated content, has selected Interra's BatonTM product for file-based content verification. The challenge of content quality has deterred many providers from offering premium content. With Interra's Baton file-based QC solution, U-NEXT will enable customers to enjoy premium content while protecting revenue streams and expanding their business. Interra will be demonstrating the latest version of Baton at the National Association of Broadcasters Show, 13-16 April, on booth SU 7105.
In a prepared statement the Head of Media Processing Technology Division at U-NEXT said, U-NEXT delivers the best VOD content to Japanese customers across any screen they choose: television, smartphone, tablet and computer. As the industry shifts towards an electronic delivery model, we needed a way to QC the large variety of content we receive at U-NEXT. Interra's Baton software allows us to verify the quality of our content, maintain consistency across our various delivery platforms and ensure that we are sending quality content for play-out. Baton will become an integral part of our workflow.
Our Baton solution is used by some of the largest VOD players to verify content across multiple stages in their file based workflows. Baton is emerging as the preferred tool for major VOD players globally because it ensures consistency across multiple delivery formats. Baton is a multi-platform, automated content verification system for file-based SD, HD, and mixed workflows. Supporting wide range of codecs and media containers, Baton ensures quality control of media content before playout.
