Imagineer has partnered with Museums Worcestershire to produce MOTHS, (Museums on the High Street), a remarkable project which aims to bring Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum and The Commandery onto Worcester High Street and provide the general public with a museum experience they won't forget.

From November 2013 until the end of February 2014, Imagineer have produced a series of pop up street performances, workshops and surprising events inspired by Worcester's significant collections and exhibitions. The project focuses on the story of an eccentric Victorian collector, Winnie Bird, who is searching for the illusive and fictional Worcestershire moth, the Worcesterious Giganticus, to add to her collection. Throughout her time in Worcester, dressed in a spectacular explorer's dress, she is sharing her stories with residents about her extraordinary journeys and introducing them to all manner of museum objects and facts.

The project will culminate in The Magnificent MOTHS Parade which will take to the streets of Worcester City Centre on Saturday 22nd February as part of Love Worcester a city wide celebration of Worcester's heritage.

Inspired by the museums' natural history collection, carnivalesque birds, butterflies and moths will grace the streets appearing in unexpected places, creating magical performances and culminating in a mini' carnival procession with music, world drumming beats and fantastical costumes setting the streets alive.
