Innovation in VR and 360-degree video receive nods

Coverage of the Grenfell Tower fire dominates the nominations for the RTS Journalism Awards 2018.
Sky News and Good Morning Britain have both been nominated for the Breaking News award for their coverage of the fire alongside Skys work on the Manchester terror attack.
Programmes in the running for the News Coverage Home award are the Victoria Derbyshire Programme for its reporting on Football Abuse Revelations, BBC News' Knife and Gun Crime Uncovered, and BBC Newsnight on The Grenfell Tower Fire.
Victoria Derbyshire Programme receives a nomination in the Interview of the Year category for its football abuse revelations. It is nominated alongside Emily Maitlis' interview with Theresa May for Newsnight - Grenfell and A Nolan Show Investigation: The Arlene Foster and Jonathan Bell Interviews.
News Channel of the Year award will once again be contested by BBC News Channel, CNN International and Sky News, while the Daily News Programme of the Year will go to either ITV News at Ten, Victoria Derbyshire Programme or BBC News at Ten.
Nominees for the News Technology are NHS Tracker - BBC News, CNN VR and Innovative Use of 360 Video During Ground Combat in Mosul by The Associated Press.
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 28th February at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
