LAS VEGAS - April 21, 2016 - Haivision, a market leader in enterprise video and streaming solutions, announces that the company's newest product, the KB 4K Encoder, is the recipient of one of the industry's most prestigious technology honors, NewBay Media's Best of Show Award, presented at the 2016 NAB Show in Las Vegas by Video Edge.
NewBay Media's Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry.
Making its debut at NAB 2016, Haivision's KB 4K Encoder fuels the highest quality live streaming events, supporting up to 4K encoding with the latest video compression (HEVC, H.264) and encapsulation (MPEG-DASH, HLS, RTMP, TS, SRT) protocols.

Internet Streaming: With the KB 4K Encoder, organizations can deliver live video streams for ultra HD OTT content. By augmenting their current HD H.264 adaptive bitrate (ABR) workflows with higher level streams for 4K resolution, either with H.264 compression for player ubiquity or with HEVC/H.265 compression, the KB 4K Encoder helps organizations achieve the best quality per bit available.
Multi-Site DVR Events: For multi-site organizations, the KB 4K Encoder is the best source encoder for Haivision's Connect DVR solution, serving live and time-delayed DVR broadcasts. 4K capability assures the highest quality experience on large format remote venue projections.
