Election Notice - Invitation for Nominations

The Members' Board of the Association is elected every two years, comprising representatives from 15 member companies and four appointed positions; CEO, Vice Chair, Finance Director and Non-Executive Director - these posts are confirmed at the first Board Meeting following the ballot. A ballot election for a new Board will take place on Friday 26th June 2015 with its first meeting scheduled for Thursday 30th July 2015.

The Articles of Association require that the outgoing Members' Board elect five companies to provide continuity and these have been determined as:

Axon Digital Design

Pixel Power

Phabrix

Quantel

Television Systems Ltd

The Constitution then requires the membership to nominate and elect a further 10 member companies, by postal or electronic ballot. The Ballot will be made on Friday 26th June 2015.

The following retiring Members' Board companies have indicated their intention to participate in the ballot:

Argosy

Avid

Grass Valley

Imagine Communications

Hi-Tech Systems

IBIS

Sony

The Vitec Group

VSN

Company representatives who are appointed to the Members Board become Directors of the IABM, are expected to attend quarterly Board Meetings (in person or virtually) and are responsible for directing the conduct and business of the IABM. (Directors liability insurance is in place to protect appointees.) For appointees this may either be a valuable opportunity for a senior executive to have a wider voice of influence in the industry, or an important developmental opportunity giving exposure to boardroom practice.

If you wish to nominate your company for the ballot, your Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director should complete the declaration form available below and return it to the IABM by post, fax or email, to arrive no later than Friday 22ndMay 2015.
