Berklee Alumni Win Emmy Awards for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story and Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight The recipients were recognized for their accomplishments in sound and score mixing and music supervision.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented three Berklee alumni with awards for their work in composition, sound mixing, and music supervision ahead of the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which took place Monday, January 15.

At the 2nd Annual Children's and Family Emmy Awards, Vivian de Aguiar Buff B.M. 12 won for her work as music supervisor on the Netflix movie Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, which won for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for an Animated Program.

At the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Tony Solis '06 (re-recording mixer) and Phil McGowan B.M. '09 (score mixer) took home Emmys for their contributions to the biopic parody film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which won for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie, or Special (Original Dramatic Score).

Overall, 20 Berklee alumni received Emmy nominations this year for sound mixing, sound editing, songwriting, music composition, music direction, sound design, and other contributions to television programming.
