Binhai Economic Development Zone to Generate Annual Output of over 00 Billion Yuan

Cidong Binhai Development Zone was upgraded into provincial economic development zone and was renamed as Cixi Economic Development Zone of Zhejiang Province by Cixi municipal government on September 29, 2015, which promotes its development to new heights. At the same time, Binhai economic development zone and Longshan town realized the collaborative development of zone and town in the administrative system.

Being refined for one year, combination of zone and town has made great progresses in overall planning, inviting investment and attracting talents and city and industry integration. Gross industrial production in Cixi coastal economic development zone reached 57 billion yuan, with year-on-year growth of 9.6 percent. Investment in fixed assets amounted to 7.17 billion yuan.

Cixi has made a series of plans such as "Three changes combined with three governance" and "three joint innovative cities" to deepen the integration of urban and rural areas to boost the confidence of development accelerate the process of building the small modern city in east Cixi and the 100 billion platform in Ningbo. According to the statistics from January to August, 2015, the important economic indicators of Cixi Binhai Economic Development Zone (Longshan Town) all maintain steady growth. The industrial output value is 36 billion yuan and the total financial income is 740 million yuan, up by 8.9% and 13.8% respectively compared with the same period of 2014. In addition, the total investment in fixed assets amounts by 4.19 billion yuan.

" The 13th Five-Year Plan" period will see profound changes in the environment at home and abroad, during which Chinas economic and social development will face a new norm of deep change, transformation and new competing. However, it's also a critical period for Binhai Economic Development Zone to accelerate its economic and social development. To actively adapt to the new changes in domestic and international environment and deal with the new situation, new tasks and new requirements, Cixi Binhai Economic Development Zone has made plans in advance in accordance with the requirements of Cixi Municipal Government to fully implement "Active transformation mode, careful structure adjustment" strategy. Based on the analyses of the opportunities and the foundations of the development, Cixi has rebuilt the industrial system and adjust the allocation of resources to comprehensively promote the construction of Binhai Economic Development Zone.

Binhai Economic Development Zone has set its goals to grow to be the "new influential industrial cluster in Yangtze River Delta, the upgrading industrial transformation zone in Ningbo and the main growth pole of Cixi ". It's working hard to accelerate the emerging high-end development and manufacturing services to build this zone the marine industries and advanced manufacturing base as well as the urban and rural areas co-ordination and ecological civilization demonstration zone of Zhejiang province, the metropolitan gateway of Ningbo's north wing and the modern coastal city combined with the development of the city and its industry.
