Washington, D.C. - July 25 - NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced that it has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the greater Washington, D.C., area for 2012 by the Washington Business Journal. The company is being recognized for its ability to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for its employees and drive customers success. NetApp ranked number seven on the list, and is the only large information technology company to make the rankings this year. This is the fourth consecutive year that NetApp has made the Washington Business Journals list.

Weber cited NetApps senior tenured leadership in its U.S. Public Sector organization and its low employee attrition even as the office expanded by more than 25%. While driving the companys strong customer commitment, its employee teams also participate in a variety of community giving events, including the annual St. Baldricks fundraising drive for childrens cancer research, which has brought in more than $1.5 million.

This honor is a testament to the achievements of the NetApp Vienna team, which has proven to be essential for business growth and service delivery in the greater D.C. area, Weber said. This team has achieved substantial double-digit growth in SLED and civilian agencies, entered a new vertical focus in the healthcare industry, and moved into high-performance computing sales, in addition to significant new account wins.
