Delve into distinctive Sky Original Production Britannia with first-look trailer and brand-new images
30/08/2017
Journey deep into the dark and unruly world of Britannia, the unique Sky Original Production coming to Sky Atlantic early next year, with a first-look trailer and a host of new images.
Set in 43AD, the drama follows the Roman army as they return to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia, a mysterious land led by warrior women and powerful Druids who claim to channel the powerful forces of the underworld. Like never before, the nine-part series tells the story of the emotional and physical power struggle between three tribes: the Druids, Celts and Romans, who battle for the heart of Britannia.
The trailer gives us an intriguing glimpse at the show, people and relationships at its centre, as it takes a journey to a place where mystical Druids run free, invincible Celts reign unopposed and invading Romans try to bring them into line.

New images can be found here.
Written by multi-award-winning Jez Butterworth (Spectre), Crook joins the cast of Britannia with Kelly Reilly (True Detective) as fearless Celtic princess Kerra, David Morrissey (The Walking Dead) as the head of the invading Roman army, Aulus, Nikolaj Lie Kaas (The Killing) as rogue Druid Divis, and Zo Wanamaker (Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone) as Celtic Queen Antedia.
The first-look trailer aired on Monday 28 August and the series will be available in the UK and Ireland on Sky Atlantic and TV streaming service NOW TV early next year.
