The audiovisual industry deals with the development of business in the hybrid TV On 18 and 19 October in Madrid, organized by AEDETI and HbbTV Association, will take place the HbbTV Symposium 2016: "Open for Business".

Representatives of the television networks, national and international, equipment manufacturers, operators and developers will be meeting in Madrid the next 18 and 19 October on the annual day of the HbbTV Association, which this year is organized jointly with the Spanish Association of Interactive Digital TV)AEDETI).

At the Symposium HbbTV Open for business about 40 speakers will discuss what is the implementation of hybrid television around the world, as well as the response of broadcasters, operators, manufacturers and developers to the opportunities afforded by the hybrid environment HbbTV in terms of monetization and advertising, among other aspects.

J ergen Boyny, global head of consumer electronics from GFK, will present data on the development of HbbTV worldwide from the point of view of consumers and the situation of the HbbTV in terms of sales in Europe, inter alia

Jos Luis V zquez, President of AEDETI, will carry out an analysis of the implementation of the standard HbbTV in Spain, while Ignacio G mez, RTVE, will explain the experience of the Spanish public television as an engine of Spanish HbbTV. Meanwhile R gis Saint Girons co-Chair of group marketing of the HbbTV Association and other prominent representatives of various countries will present the evolution of services HbbTV throughout the planet.

Once established the real extent of the HBBTV standard, the Symposium addressed one of the issues that have more interest for the audiovisual industry, as it is the monetization of HbbTV services and formulas to get it. For this is has organized a table round in which participating broadcasters, operators and manufacturers of televisions that will expose their solutions to the respect.

In the following table round, in close relationship with the former, is addressed the possible forms of advertising that taking advantage of the potential of the HbbTV is are imposing in the world.

Then at the Symposium another topical issue will be treated as it is the use of the Big Data in hybrid environment. New applications for hybrid television and the advantages that offers the HbbTV system against others like Android or IOS will also be addressed.

Already on the second day of presentations, Klaus Illgner, President of the HbbTV Association, will offer an overview standard, its evolution and the future challenges that are already arising.
