Vizrt's Viz One is certified as compliant with the DPP standard for media asset management metadata developed in the UK.
Vizrt, a leading provider of production tools for the digital media industry, is an official member of the DPP Compliance Program and participated in the development of AS-11 DPP compliance. The AS-11 DPP metadata schema and the MXF AS-11 standard for contribution, means that broadcasters can exchange assets - not just files. Viz One now recognises and manages AS-11 DPP metadata, handling any metadata field in an MXF.
Viz One, Vizrt's media asset management system uses AS-11 DPP as a metadata schema for file data delivery for customers in the UK. Viz One has an open architecture and can read and write to any metadata fields in an MXF file. Vizrt's membership in the Advanced Media Workflow Association Group ensures that Viz One meets a high level of quality and consistency when dealing with most formats.
Our membership with the DPP Compliance Program is key to making sure that the new standard is integrated into all of Vizrt's media management products, said Petter Ole Jakobsen, Vizrt CTO. Our customers in the UK and those abroad who adopt the standard can now share assets in a much simpler way - while still maintaining all the benefits of a completely digital workflow.
Vizrt will demonstrate AS-11 DPP MXF metadata handling at IBC2015 on booth number 7.A20 as well as demonstrations of enhanced file format support including the native use of compressed H.264 files in the production process. It will also showcase the production of content variants for use with VoD services and the direct delivery of these using Vizrt's new generation transcoding and encoding toolset, Coder. Vizrt will also demonstrate the creation, management and editing of transmission packages using Logger and the Viz One Restful API.
Demonstrations will shown available on the Vizrt booth (7.A20) at IBC2015 between 11-15 September 2015 at the RAI, Amsterdam.
