Actor Thabiso Rammusi is one of the four stars in Showmax's eight-part series, Adulting as Mpho, a married man with a beautiful wife (Lungile Duma) and twin sons.

THABISO RAMMUSI: GOD HAS ALREADY BLESSED ME' The Adulting actor Thabiso Rammusi, who is married with two boys in real life says he relates to his Showmax role Mpho, who is the only married one in the group with twin sons and a beautiful wife.

He tells Drum that he even suspected casting director voodoo' is at play when he was auditioning: His structure is what I already have. It is what God has already blessed me with, the family of two kids [and] my kids are actually [both] boys.

When you're auditioning, you only know that you are a husband and you don't know yeah that nitty-gritty until you get the script and you sit down like oh wow!

Landing the role was an affirmation that the role was meant for him as he related to a lot of things except cheating.

I had a lot of parts where I didn't have to judge [but I did]. I would read and I'm like but Mpho come on! You can do better' but now I had to go back and say if I'm going to judge him, I'm not going to play him the way he needs to be portrayed because some guys are just like that.

BACKGROUND OF ADULTING' The 18SN-rated show Adulting follows the bromance' of four friends Mpho played by Thabiso Rammusi, Bonga played by Thembinkosi Mthembu, Vuyani played by Luthando BU Mthembu and Eric played by Nhlanhla Kunene.

According to True Love, the four friends will navigate relationships, business, drama, and the ups and downs that come with adult living.

Tshedza Pictures co-founder Phathu Makwarela promises viewers that Adulting will show the bromance of the decade .

Showmax commissioning editor Tebogo Matlawa explains that the purpose of the show is to tell the stories of young men from all walks of life and give audiences something they can relate to.

It was an opportunity for us to tell a relationship drama from a male point of view. So, I think it's going to get some tongues wagging. When we were developing this with the writers and the creators, which is [Gwydion Beynon] and Phathu, we took a concerted effort to be unapologetically male, and this is the kind of tough decisions we made but we think what came out came pretty well and came out entertaining. As you know Showmax is Africa's original streamer, and we endeavour at all times to try and push the boundaries and the narratives of storytelling .
