Former Isibaya actress Gcina Mkhize has joined the cast of e.tv's popular telenovela Imbewu: The Seed as a mad woman Nozinyo, who's blackmailing Zithulele.

GCINA MKHIZE'S JOINS E.TV'S TELENOVELA The popular actress Gcina Mkhize made her debut on Thursday, 28 July on e.tv's telenovela Imbewu: The Seed, where she plays the character of Nozinyo and intereacted with Raphael Griffith's character, Zithulele.

The seasoned actress is popularly known for playing Khanyi in Mzansi Magic's canned telenovela Isibaya for eight seasons.

Mkhize also played the role of Foxy in SABC1's drama series Gazlam and the role of Rhulani in e.tv's drama series Umlilo, according to Sunday World.

PLAYING NOZINYO Viewers of Imbewu: The Seed will not like her character Nozinyo as she's blackmailing fan-favourite character Zithulele after witnessing him killing a young woman in a car accident.

Nozinyo is a mad woman who kept Zithulele's bloodied car licence plate number from the car accident when he thought nobody saw him.

She approached him on Thursday, 28 July to reveal it to him as well as the victim's earrings from the night she saw the accident.

She asked him for money to fix her house, for a jojo tank and a few other things Zithulele's siblings, Zakithi and Nkululeko think it's a bad idea to pay her as she's going to continue asking for more.

This weeks's teaser also reveals that she's going to ask him for R40k and Zithulele will hand himself over to the police when he realises that he can't live with the lie anymore.

The TVSA August teasers reveal that Zakithi will take over Mjulu Oil when Zithulele hands himself over to the police and that she'll fire her half-brother Nkululeko.

The Thursday 4 August teaser reads:

Using the gun, Zithulele threatens Nozinyo and gets the license plate. But Nozinyo is not done yet.

The teasers also reveal that Nkululeko (Kay Sibiya) has a recording from the night of the accident.
