NEW YORK - (August, 21 2024) - Tribeca has unveiled its latest Membership events, offering insider screenings, premieres, and exclusive conversations with actors, directors, and leading voices in entertainment.
From an intimate evening with filmmaker and actress Francesca Scorsese at Casa Cipriani to in-depth conversations with acclaimed actors Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater, members get unprecedented access to the creative forces shaping culture right now. The slate will kick off with a special screening of GRIFFIN IN SUMMER - winner of the 2024 Tribeca Festival Founders Award - starring Everett Blunck, Melanie Lynskey, Owen Teague, Abby Ryder Fortson, and Kathryn Newton. Following that will be a special advanced screening of MUBI's THE HISTORY OF SOUND, starring Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor; the New York Premiere of the found-footage horror film IN OUR BLOOD, the narrative feature debut of Emmy-winning filmmaker Pedro Kos; and the World Premiere of the highly anticipated third season of CBS's critically acclaimed comedy series ELSBETH, starring Carrie Preston and Wendell Pierce, ahead of its October 12 premiere. Griffin Nafly (Everett Blunck) is the most ambitious playwright of his generation. Hes also fourteen years old and living with his parents in a humdrum suburb while dreaming of moving to New York City. Special Advance Screening of The History of Sound - September 10 at Tribeca Film Center
Starring Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor, The History of Sound is a sweeping, moving, and tender romance that spans decades and continents. In 1917, Lionel (Mescal, Aftersun ) - a young, talented music student - meets David (O'Connor, Challengers ) at the Boston Conservatory, where a connection over a deep love of music leads to a fleeting love affair. Conversation with Francesca Scorsese - September 30 at Casa Cipriani
A multi-talented artist on the rise, Francesca Scorsese has already proven to be a double threat in the filmmaking and storytelling spaces. As an actress, she's starred in co-creator and director Luca Guadagnino's lauded HBO series We Are Who We Are and in the IFC Films ensemble comedy Christmas Eve in Miller's Point, in addition to appearances in her father Martin Scorsese's films The Departed, The Aviator, and Hugo. She's also a filmmaker, having made short films that have played at the 2022 Tribeca Festival ( Crimson Ties ) and the 2023 Cannes Film Festival ( Fish Out of Water ). Tribeca is thrilled to host a special evening with Francesca Scorsese at Casa Cipriani, during which she'll sit down for an intimate one-on-one conversation all about her life in and around film and her ascending career.
