Zype, an emerging star in video-content management and distribution, on Tuesday unveiled several tools and capabilities within its infrastructure to improve video delivery to social media, mobile apps, and OTT platforms.
Zype Social and OTT Multicasting software-based infrastructure can simultaneously live-broadcast events to websites, connected TV, mobile apps, and social platforms.
The company's focus is three-fold: to help clients reach larger audiences, to simplify client video workflows, and to speed the go-to-market processes of live video.
Product managers and engineering leaders are being asked to build innovative, video-centric products and services to engage customers and audiences. Enterprises can now engage with an integrated set of tools to turn complex video workflows into a competitive advantage, said Zype CEO/co-founder Ed Laczynski in an official release. Our goal is to provide the best video-content-management and -distribution infrastructure that provides a single-pane-of-glass for teams.
On the audience front, Zype has debuted Zype Social and OTT Multicasting, a software-based infrastructure that can simultaneously live-broadcast events to websites, connected TV, mobile apps, and social platforms. That's coupled with Zype's App Distribution Marketplace, which makes it easier to expand the footprint and availability of one's content. Channels can be created everywhere from Xumo and on popular Smart TV devices, including LG, VIZIO, Panasonic, Samsung, Philips, and more.
The company is dialing up its internal workflow tools with the introduction of Zype Live Events APIs, which allow clients more control of creation, scheduling, broadcasting, encoding, packaging, delivery, and archiving of live broadcasts.
The Marketplace Connect service unifies in-app payment processing, viewer authentication, and entitlement management.
Zype has also placed the business and monetization end of live-streaming video in the crosshairs with Marketplace Connect. This service helps clients drill more deeply into app payment, authentication, and content management of viewers and subscribers. Clients can better sell packages and integrate them through popular destinations like the iTunes Store or the Google Play Store. Its wider exposure with more opportunities to collect data to make a sale to a consumer.
Lastly, Zy.pe instant social-sharing-ready video pages remove the need for individual web-hosting services or integrations by allowing clients to distribute and sell their own content themselves. Social-sharing tools to Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter help amplify viewer discovery and virality of video content.
Packaging all this together, Zype said in the release, offers the most connected set of video operations and business tools available in a single platform.
Streamline Video Operations With New White Paper
The company is also taking strides to help clients function better as a universal unit to meet the challenges of today's rapidly changing video world. At the forefront of that is the VidOps framework designed to connect video teams, their processes, and their technology by removing silos across the video-production and -distribution life cycle.
The streaming-video industry has made great strides on the technology front, yet many organizations are challenged to connect teams and functions to quickly meet customer demands and win in the market, said Laczynski. We created the VidOps framework to address workflow issues that organizations face daily, such as complex video infrastructures, fragmented data, and disconnected team members. VidOps aims to benefit the industry and serve as a guide for delivering and gaining value from premium video content in a unified manner.
