VSN presented at IBC its advanced PAM and her new web video editor New advanced software Production Asset Management (PAM) from VSN integrated in VSNExplorer, offers a greater visibility of the projects, while it modernizes and streamlines the management of flows of labour and the material of the media companies.

In IBC 2017, in Amsterdam, VSN IBC 2017 will present its new advanced PAM software as well as WEDIT, its recently developed web video editor. Production Asset Management (PAM)

New advanced software Production Asset Management (PAM) from VSN provides greater visibility into the projects, while it modernizes and streamlines the management of flows of labour and the material of the media companies. Integrated into VSNExplorer, the platform star VSN for the media management and business, this latest version of the software VSNExplorer PAM process production equipment offers a continuous control of the projects that are launched from a single screen, thus enabling the departments of production become more efficient and collaborative among them.

This intuitive and easy to use tool offers a wide range of possibilities especially designed taking into account the current time constraints of production equipment. Therefore, the new advanced version of the software includes the ability to search metadata and assets through a hierarchical tree view; at a glance all the tasks, and custom management regardless of whether they are completed or still in progress; management of user permissions for visibility, control and collaboration more effective; creation of assets from the interface, including the new type VSNExplorer Wedit; EDL file download to complete video editing in non-linear editing systems (NLE) of third parties; and monitoring of the assets through multiple storage media, regardless of their location.

Developed 100% in HTML5, this advanced system PAM interacts not only with the internal modules of VSN, but also with external NLEs, social networks, services of archival programming partners, systems of quality check and much more.

VSN WEDIT

The new WEDIT was launched last April at the fair NAB 2017. A video editing tool is 100% based on web and highly functional, integrated within the platform of media management and business VSNExplorer processes. Developed in HTML5, this quick and easy tool allows editors and journalists to edit videos and leave them ready to broadcast from a single interface and without having to switch between systems.

Thanks to its implementation within the interface of VSNExplorer and its integration with a full system MAM, Wedit users can work with footage and video clips found in deep type storage, near-line or even online. In fact, Wedit can be defined also as an "editor cloud of content", since it allows users to access and edit files located in the cloud: a feature that enhances the collaborative work between video publishers and the departments of a media company.

In regards to its editing capabilities, users of Wedit can quickly edit sequences by court; generate lists of cuts; make mark-in and mark-out segments with frame accuracy; metadata associated with the courts; quickly edit from the own timeline of the interface; and consolidate and publish scripts. In addition, users can be exported at any time a project in an EDL file to finish his Edition in an NLE system of third parties where necessary, such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer.

Business Intelligence

The enhanced software VSNExplorer BI is capable of transforming the media and metadata in powerful business intelligence information. This module of VSNExplorer, a specific BI tool for broadcast environments, can extract information about the assets, quality of content, traffic, transcoding and other many parameters directly own VSN systems or even from other third-party tools, to then present the data that have been selected in simple graphs and reports that help you analyze the performance of a business.

VSNExplorer BI can generate reports based on the State of workflows, the pending tasks of the users or based on any other criteria that have been defined and custom previously according to the metadata of the MAM system, thus eliminating the need to create reports manually or rely on other third-party solutions to this. Users thus have access to analytical documents and reports automatically generated by default, as well as another series of custom information panels that combine different information and layouts (bar, pie, column, graphic, enumeration, speedometer...).

Thus, VSNExplorer BI allows you to monitor and analyze data from any broadcast company and even segment information by Department, including different filters to select based on different circumstances. Thanks to these reports, an administrator can rely on them to make business decisions and monitor its performance from a single panel of information and analytical. In short, this is a powerful tool for analysis and decision-making that helps companies detect inefficiencies and bottlenecks, solve problems, and make business decisions that increase the income of the companies and allow you to make more efficient use of corporate resources.
