Frame.io Announces Support for AWS Media & Entertainment Initiative

Frame.io one of the world's leading cloud-based video review and approval platform, today announced support for the AWS for Media & Entertainment initiative from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate and simplify collaborative content creation with remote teams, whether they're shooting on-set, editing from a suite across town, or working in an entirely different city in their own home.
AWS for Media & Entertainment is an initiative featuring new and existing services and solutions from AWS and AWS Partners, built specifically for content creators, rights holders, producers, broadcasters, and distributors. AWS adds the newly announced Amazon Nimble Studio, a service that enables customers to set up creative studios in hours instead of weeks, to a portfolio of more purpose-built media and entertainment industry services than any other cloud, including AWS Elemental MediaPackage, AWS Elemental MediaConnect, AWS Elemental MediaLive, AWS Elemental MediaConvert, and Amazon Interactive Video Service (IVS). AWS for Media & Entertainment also simplifies the process of building, deploying, and reinventing mission-critical industry workloads by aligning AWS and AWS Partner capabilities against five solution areas: Content Production; Media Supply Chain & Archive; Broadcast; Direct-to-Consumer & Streaming; and Data Science & Analytics.
As one of the content production partners participating in the AWS for Media & Entertainment initiative, Frame.io features some of the world's most widely used review and approval tools. Whether a customer is on set, on the road with their iPhone, at home on an iPad, or at work in an edit suite, they get realtime collaborative review and approval tools with frame accurate commenting, on-screen annotation drawing, and integrated messaging- all centralized in a gorgeous, intuitive, award-winning interface that makes collaboration effortless. That means you no longer have to send feedback via email or use confusing spreadsheets to track changes and notes.
In addition to review and approval, Frame.io recently introduced Camera to Cloud, which is a game changing innovation that will revolutionize production workflows. Over the last 100 years production shifted from film to tape, then tape to digital files. Now there's a third shift - going directly from camera to cloud, which will forever change the way content will be created. In the past, film needed to be processed or digitized, tapes duplicated, drives backed up and media shipped in order for anyone to view the day's work. It simply took too long. Frame.io Camera to Cloud solves this problem by instantly and securely publishing footage to the cloud so producers, studios, agencies, and even editors can receive and monitor camera files within seconds of calling cut on set.
The Frame.io family of products streamlines video production by centralizing assets in the cloud, enabling real-time remote review and approval of work in progress, while also allowing collaborators to upload, share and edit video while it's still being shot. Frame.io products simplify workflows, save time, and put communication and media all in one place so you can focus on what matters most - being creative.
Extending Frame.io deeper into customer workflows is made possible through Webhooks and Custom Actions, which work best on AWS Lambda, a serverless compute service that lets you run code without provisioning or managing servers. Frame.io customers have used these features to connect to their project management systems, on-premises storage, video play-out servers, and more.
