Sometimes, when we stand by watching our loved one's struggle (for whatever reason), we can be tempted to despair! To succumb to hopelessness and brokenness.

12 In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.
Ephesians 2:12 (NIV) But God!
He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5). He has promised to strengthen us and uphold us with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). He has declared that His arm/hand is not too short to save (Isaiah 59:1). He reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13)
There is power in the Name!

There is power in His Word!
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path . It guides, directs, and instructs, filling us with hope and vision.

There is power in the Blood!
We are made righteous through the blood of the Lamb - no longer subject to guilt, fear, or condemnation.
There is power through His Holy Spirit!
The dunamis , explosive power of His Spirit is at work in our mortal bodies. He is both willing and able to bring down any stronghold, so that no weapon formed against us will prosper.
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NIV) In hopelessness He is our HOPE We have a Heavenly Father who neither slumbers nor sleeps. He is consistently at work behind the scenes on our behalf and longs for us to call out to Him; to hear faith filled declarations as we declare His word back to Him. The Word that He gives us, is filled with hope, peace, truth, light, power and love!
His Word is our only offensive weapon: the mighty two-edged Sword of the Spirit, that divides between bone and marrow (Hebrews 4:12). The enemy of our soul is no match against His Word. As we pray specific, faith-filled prayers, rooted in His Word, it is like strategically placing dynamite in a building to blow it up in a matter of minutes!
I remember working in a ski resort in my youth. Sometimes, the road in and out of the village would be blocked due to avalanches. Guests couldn't get back to home and work commitments and incoming arrivals were blocked from entry as they eagerly awaited their well-earned holiday.
The only solution was for skilled Ski Instructors to strategically place dynamite in specific spots, to clear a pathway without damaging the resort in any way.
We serve a God of HOPE This is how I envisage praying God's word back to Him. All the enemy's plans get blown up in his face, while we remain unscathed. The path to God's plans and purposes opens for us, and the enemy is forced to scatter.
Our God is the God of HOPE! In Him, there is no hopeless situation. We have access to all wisdom, power and might. He has anointed us to be agents of hope in every situation. Let us no longer feel lost and powerless, speaking or agreeing with any hopeless words of despair and destruction. Renounce it! Our Lord speaks LIFE, and we must too!
As we come into alignment with His perspective and understanding of our situation, His peace and hope enters, enabling us to triumph over the works of the enemy (Psalm 27:6).
15 When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. Oh, sir, what will we do now? the young man cried to Elisha.16 Don't be afraid! Elisha told him. For there are more on our side than on theirs!
2 Kings 6:15-16 (NLV) PRAYER Father, thank you for opening our eyes through your Word, so that we can see that greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Thank you that nothing and no-one can separate us from your love (Romans 8:31), and that we are secure in your destiny and purpose for our lives. We can fully entrust ourselves to You.
