Matrox at BVE 2018 - Product Preview 15th February 2018
MONTREAL, Quebec - 15 February 2018 - Matrox Video will be at Broadcast Video Expo 2018 (Stand J18) demonstrating a comprehensive range of products for today's most demanding broadcast workflows. The show lineup includes the complete Monarch portfolio of H.264 encoders for streaming and recording, the newly-launched Monarch LCS Radar application for intuitive monitoring of multiple Monarch LCS units, the VS4Recorder Pro multi-camera recording software for frame-accurate, quad-channel recording, and the Extio 3 IP KVM extender for real-time extension and switching at low-bitrates. Matrox product experts will also be on hand to discuss the industry's most diverse selection of SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 I/O hardware for OEMs. Featured Products Matrox Monarch HD is a professional encoding appliance, capable of taking an HDMI input from a source such as a camera or a switcher and generating an H.264-encoded stream suitable for live streaming. While encoding the video at bitrates suitable for live streaming, the device can simultaneously record a high-quality file (MP4 or MOV) to an SD card, a USB drive, or a network-mapped drive. Matrox Monarch HDX is a dual-channel H.264 encoder featuring 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs with frame synchronization to compensate for any discontinuity at the source. A versatile appliance, Monarch HDX is ideal for a variety of broadcasting workflows, including webcasting to YouTube or Facebook Live while simultaneously recording or streaming to a second location. Matrox Monarch LCS is a lecture capture appliance that includes flexible inputs (SDI/HDMI or HMDI/HDMI), simplified mixing with integrated production layouts (picture-in-picture or side-by-side), and synchronized dual-encoding allowing for multi-stream playback, putting layout control in the hands of the viewer. The easy-to-use Matrox Monarch LCS Radar centralized monitoring application also allows IT administrators to easily monitor multiple, campus-wide-deployed Monarch LCS appliances from one intuitive dashboard. Matrox VS4Recorder Pro is a multi-channel recording software that allows frame-accurate recording of four live audio/video feeds using a Matrox VS4 quad HD-SDI capture card-crucial for recording live multi-camera productions to create video assets that can be easily repurposed and archived. Matrox Extio 3 is the world's first IP KVM extender to deliver unmatched 4K60 4:4:4 or quad 1080p60 4:4:4 performance at low-bitrates. Leveraging a standard Gigabit Ethernet network, Extio 3 works with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) network switches and significantly diminishes the total cost of ownership to deliver a scalable KVM matrix switching solution.
