NEW YORK - Full Frontal with Samantha Bee won its first ever GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Variety or Talk Show Episode for a segment highlighting the removal of many transgender citizens' rights in our country. The piece, which first aired in the October 24, 2018 episode, brought to light how, in just a few short years, legislation put in place to shield transgender Americans has been stripped away, leaving this community with no protection from hatred and no recourse against discrimination.

The 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) communities and the issues that affect their members.

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee shines a spotlight on stories inside the Washington Beltway and beyond, from gun control to sexual harassment in the media, and from global warming to child marriage in the United States. Full Frontal also travels around the world to cover international stories, with previous segments from Haiti, Jordan, Germany, Russia, Scotland, Mexico and Iraq. The series is executive produced by Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Alison Camillo, Miles Kahn, Pat King, and Tony Hernandez.
