Talpa boosts international operation Hilversum, July 18, 2014 - Talpa is rapidly developing into a full-service media company, one in which television, interactivity and other digital applications converge. In order to work as optimally as possible with a growing number of partners and clients all over the world, the international sales department and the Talpa Connect division have now been joined to form Talpa Global.
In international rollouts, its essential that, in addition to a TV format, digital extensions be simultaneously implemented successfully. Thus, for instance, Talpas format What Do I Know?! is offered with an integrated live play-along application, whereas reality blockbuster Utopia comes with an online platform. But also formats such as The Voice (to date nearly 60 local versions) and The Voice Kids (30 different productions internationally) feature digital extensions to which Talpa Global lends supervision and support.
The formation of Talpa Global marks the appointments of Diana Buddingh and Kim Dingler to, respectively, Director Global Productions and Director Marketing and Strategy. Under the direction of Managing Director Maarten Meijs, Talpa Globals management team will consist of Buddingh and Dingler, as well as financial head Andr Adema. Talpa Global will liaise with the production companies located elsewhere in the world: its own operations in Los Angeles, London, Rome and Copenhagen, its participation in Moscow and its joint ventures with local producers in a large number of other markets.
Says Maarten Meijs, Managing Director of Talpa Global: Its great to be able to adjust the structure of the organization according to both the developments within the media industry and the international success of our product. Within Talpas new global division, the digital branch is responsible for all extensions, stand-alone digital formats and ancillary activities, including gaming and online video. In addition, itll work closely with the international sales operation already firmly in place.

Kim Dingler
Kim Dingler is best known as co-founder and Managing Director of They, the Amsterdam-based advertising agency. She previously worked for Carat in London and Amsterdam, as well as other ad and media agencies. She also held the post of Media & Communications Manager at Heineken Netherlands for several years. In her new function at Talpa Global, Dingler will be involved in the international positioning of Talpa formats, marketing and strategy as of mid-August.
Diana Buddingh
As Director Global Productions, Diana Buddingh will supervise the rollout, realization and continuation of Talpa formats. She oversees, both creatively and in terms of production, the programs based on Talpa formats as made in Talpas own wholly-owned concerns, joint ventures and wherever else in the world. Shell manage a growing team Creative Consultants who guide the production of Talpa formats for TV broadcasters all over the world. Buddingh has more than 25 years of experience in the TV industry and has worked freelance as well as internally for such major producers as Endemol, Talpa and FremantleMedia.
